Shou Sugi Ban Chest of Drawers Refurbished

$200.00

Now this project was fun. Shou Sugi Ban is an ancient Japanese architectural technique that was used to preserve wood by charring the surface with a hot flame. Shou Sugi Ban is also known as Yakisugi and traditionally was performed on Sugi wood, which is a Japanese cedar. even though this is not the traditional use of Shou Sugi Ban iv always loved the look. I only lightly charred the wood to give it some color and to let the grain show through then finished it in Feast Watson Wipe-on Poly. its a little bit darker in the picture than what it really is so if you like this one you need to come and see it in person.
